  • This is a place for travellers/backpackers as well as long term cheap stays for Japanese people and foreigners working in Tokyo.
  • This was our second stay. It was comfortable enough. Two showers for the whole guesthouse, and two toilets, one for men and one for women. Good place for travelers but not for a romantic vacation.

REVIEWS FROM CUSTOMERS:

  • Great hotel with a hostel vibe. Staff and guests so friendly, which made my stay here brilliant. Rooms were clean, with great amenities. Location was good, slightly out of the ‘happening’ parts of the city, but you have everything you need close by like supermarkets, local shops, and you also feel less like a tourist.
  • I’m so happy with this hotel. If I ever come back to Japan I will stay in this hotel again. The price is so cheap for the kind of hotel that it is. It has everything you may need: computers with free wifi connection at lobby; free lockers, vending machines, microwave, showers, japanese bath., laundry, elevator.
  • The room was quiet, the bed comfortable, and the community bath very nice and clean. The community room has 5 computers that you can access for free, as well as a couple guitars, the paper, and free coffee/tea.

REVIEWS FROM CUSTOMERS:

  • This hotel has the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The rooms might be small, but the they are very inviting and clean. They provide all sorts of amenities like internet, a tea maker in the room, TV, tooth brush, tooth paste, robe, and a lot more.
  • The location is amazing. You can step out onto the steps instead of the elevator and you have a spectacular view of the river and several river boats. When you leave the hotel, the rail system is only a block away, and there is a Pharmacy on the corner. There are neat little places you can walk to and see as well, such as a small shrine down an alley.
  • Anyone who gave this hotel less than 5 stars must have been grumpy or an anti-social. This is a family run hotel, and they treat you like family while you’re here.

RECOMMENDATION OF THE HOUSE:

REVIEWS FROM CUSTOMERS:

  • I recently went to Japan during the big Earthquake. I was staying at Sakura Hotel at the time. They were on top of everything. They had snacks and tea for the people staying there. The news as on they had flashlights ready. They answered all my questions. They were very helpful and friendly when I needed to call home and use the internet. Honestly they had the best staff of any Hotel I’ve stayed in. I’ve been around the world and they made my very short stay in Tokyo during that traumatic time even easier on me. It’s not fancy but it is very friendly.
  • I stayed there for 3 nights and its good value for money. Close to the underground and jr station , stayed in a single room and the room is a bit crampy but the bed was great, and your out all day anyway. The area is really chilled compared to other parts of town and that`s why i decided to stay there, easy to get around and lots of restaurants near by. Staff very friendly and helpful , free wifi and in general very clean and nice. Im gonna stay here on my next visit as well.
  • I’ve stayed here three times now and every expereience has been great. The staff is very helpful, friendly and multilingual. They’ve always handled my reservations without any problems and have been flexible for me. The location is great, walking distance to the subway. It’s clean and convenient. I always manage to make friends here as it is popular with backpackers and English teachers.

Reviews from customers:

  • I stayed there 1 week. Rooms are small, just like everything in Japan. Beds are japanese style, hard. Rooms were clean and nice. Shower/toilet in the room was the smallest I’ve ever seen. Hotel staff is great! Wlan worked in the room. Hotel was quiet. Location is great, close to UENO where you get fast train to Airport and train/subway around the city.
  • This hotel is in a good location, right near the metro lines, and also a short walk from the station that the skyliner train from the airport goes to. The rooms are small, but enough space to lie a suitcase down and theres a desk area. The bed was fine, we stayed in the western style double room. The bathroom is tiny, but clean. The hotel had free internet which was great, and a small kitchen and washing machine which was really handy. I would definitely stay here again.
  • Coming from Narita with the Skyliner which has got its endpoint at Ueno, it was not a to long walk to the hotel, which was easy to find walking along Asakusa dori. Checkin was from 3pm, i was there around 2pm but my luggage was stores safely in the bagage storage room. Checkin itself was easy and went swiftly. Staff was helpfull, spook and understood good english, so no problems there.
