Prepare yourself this new year with a set of personalised trainers that are unique only to you. If you go to the Adidas shops in Shibuya and Roppongi you can create a pair of trainers that are specific to your foot shape. The customisation doesn`t stop there though, you can choose the design of the shoe, the colours, name to be placed on the side and more. In the end you will receive a shoe that is healthier for your foot and a one of a kind design.

Are you tired of the bright lights of Christmas, do you feel that people should show more restraint? If so then the Black and White Exhibition at Gallery Terashita is just the place for you. The group exhibition will have from around the globe 12 artists; Akio Igarashi (JP), Peter Lynch (UK), Johan Meijerink (NL), Yoshio Ogawa (JP), Dirk Rathke (D), Takashi Suzuki (JP), and Dieter Villinger (D).
This is what Takeshi Hirata says,
“The shining illuminations color the town in this Christmas season. However, this excessive coloring doesn’t impress me at all though this is a typical spectacle in Tokyo of December. Should we revalue “monochrome” at the power of deep, various extension and variegation?
In this exhibition, the artists from Japan, Britain, the Netherlands, and Germany respectively express “black&white” which are warmer, more brilliant, and beautiful than the illumination of the town.”

A dozen international communities will be coming together in mid December for “Tokyo’s Biggest Tech Party Ever” (info here). It’s a charity event to benefit Room to Read. About 300 people are expected to gather in Roppongi, but I bet the number grows higher than that as the date approaches. I know a pile of OpenSolaris guys will be going, and I’ll go for sure. I can imagine that thousands of very interesting photographs and videos will emerge from this gig, so I will shoot a set of photos myself. Here are some of the communities participating:
